1. (Abstract Noun) Bioinformatics is the branch of modern interdisciplinary science where using the techniques and knowledge of Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Information technology, Computer Science, Artificial intelligence , Statistics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics etc. one tries to understand the complexity of the biological systems. It also involves development of new software tools and databases for storing, managing and analyzing huge amount of biological data and information produced out of the genomic and structural genomic projects. আধুনিক আন্তঃবিভাগীয় বিজ্ঞানৰ এনে এটা শাখা য`ত আণৱিক জীৱ-বিজ্ঞান, গণিত শাস্ত্ৰ, তথ্য প্ৰযুক্তি, পৰিসংখ্যা বিজ্ঞান, কম্পিউটাৰ বিজ্ঞান, কৃত্ৰিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, ৰসায়ন, জৈৱ-ৰসায়ন, পদাৰ্থ-বিজ্ঞান আদি সমূহ ক্ষেত্ৰৰ জ্ঞানৰ সামুহিক ব্যৱহাৰেৰে জীৱজগতৰ তন্ত্ৰ পৰ্য্যায়ৰ (Systems level) জটিল গাঁঠনি আৰু তাৰ সংবৰ্দ্ধিত কাৰ্য্য-প্ৰণালীৰ বিষয়ে অধ্যয়ন কৰা হয়|
